Fischereimuseum

The nostalgic Zug Fishing Museum from 1892 is located at Unter Altstadt 14a directly on Lake Zug. On the ground floor is the show hatchery, where the spawn of whitefish, rudd, pike and trout have been hatched since 1883. Visitors learn interesting facts about the Lake Zug ecosystem and can recognise the fish species that live in Lake Zug. The upper floor is dedicated to the history of fishing and the associated artefacts. The museum room takes visitors back to around 1900 and invites them on a journey of discovery into the world of rarities and exotic collectibles with some bizarre exhibits., The museum is run by members of the association on a voluntary basis and is therefore only open on selected days. It can be visited by appointment as part of a guided tour.,
